If an "investigative journo" was really interested they would know how to contact the "genuine-investors" affected by all of this -by way of example there are already reports and articles about how a very large group of people have been affected in various projects in DSC alone from Ireland - just like there's a journo advertising themselves on the forum already but funnily enough people have made contact and it makes no sense as to why they only want people from a certain country to speak to them about their "real life experiences" - does it matter? People are in the same position - every "genuine investor" is affected in the same way no matter where they come from no matter what project it is in the end. The projects exposed, as many would know by now, are Stadium Point, Eagle Heights, Bermuda Views, Profile Residence and many others where many have invested from Ireland and from all over the world - there are many reports about this already and no possible reason as to why this investigation cannot be continued or followed up on - it can't be a hoax or is it? Again an "investigative journo" would be able to find this out although the police would have become involved a long time ago if it had been ...
However as example, it's the same story and other "genuine investors" will have no hope in getting justice if this is left untouched - it's great to put out a report in the media but why not the follow it up...the "investigative journo" would need to prove to everyone who has suffered the same fate as these investors from Ireland that something was actually done to effect change in my own opinion. Perhaps your contacts, that you happen to have, may want to follow this up for starters and from there it would lead to other investors affected in these very same projects. (The Irish people will not be interested to post anything here they have their own website). That's what "investigative journos" should be doing if that is what "investigative journalism" actually is. If anything this would be the best way to go. Then if it's worthwhile telling everyone how successful they were why not post it on the forum for everyone to see how far the "investigative journo" went to achieve something - other than that it's like peeing into the wind - goes no where but in the same direction it came from in my opinon!
Some references for follow up by investigative journos if they are interested in "real life experiences" would be very ideal particularly when you have investors who are being supported by Ministers from their own country and shows how things really are not what the speculators claim who receive a "Dear Valued Customer" newsletter "unsigned" (via their lawyers) and expect others to believe things are going well with the project and things are progressing....it would then call to question what then are these Irish people saying or are all about if what they are saying wasn't true? All these projects are "on hold" and have been for a very long time - the investigative journo needs to find out why, when and who is responsible and where has all the money gone and not into escrow? The law came into effect 28 June 2007 and so many investors purchased after this time and strangely enough the "Dear Valued Customer" newsletters never surfaced back then but they do now (sporadically) and they have a very standard approach which all the developers use - all approved by their lawyers no doubt?
Not one "genuine investor" expected that no delivery would take place by a certain date listed on their contracts otherwise what purpose would it serve to any of them to have their monies tied up indefinitely (when they are only mum and dad investors in many cases) without any financial benefit from any of it (still paying off their mortgages they borrowed to pay for "off plan" projects) and still waiting for it to be completed and a further estimated completion time provided which may never happen but that time was not provided until investors were jumping up and down for answers so eventually they had no choice but to send out a "Dear Valued Customer" newletter in many other projects affected in the same way - none of it makes sense! Millions were received by developers from "genuine investors" and they have nothing to show for it!! No one building delivered to date in these projects alone? The "investigative journo" requires to hop on a plan and take a good look at how barren it stands and how is it possible for progress to be continuing as is indicated in the "Dear Valued Customer" newsletters...
