Hi Linda - you're welcome. Yes we have stayed in Cairo and the hotel was very 70's although the pics on the web looked lovely. The rooms were very dated, the hotel was very dark and the pool around the edges very green. Trying to think of the name of it for one to avoid!!
Service diabolical and we couldnt wait to fly back to Sharm.
Travel Republic have President for around £11.62 each b n b as well - cheapest is Concorde Dokki at £10.71 each
I have heard good reports about Hotel Longchamps and it is very reasonable.
