Well glad you have not heard of them must be a good sign. Our developers won International Property Developers Award for 2009. We bought through an Estate Agent so hopefully we did the right thing. Sorry yours went awry. Am patiently waiting for my business partner to return from Hurghada with hopefully plenty pictures of Makadi. x We gave bought a type 4 on quadrant 3.

My aprt is the one on the top floor next to the stairs it seems to be on its own with only one aprt at the back of mine, on the left of the photo of Type 4. But the stairs are for the excess for all the top floor aprts if you turn right at the top (I think)

We bought through Nick at Colour Investments. Was just going to get taxi to site on Wednesday or Thursday and have a look around. Is there someone on site who can show us around, is there an office on site?
As we have bought in phase 1 we would like to see how our apartment is progressing.

Going tomorrow afternoon, will probably be hot it's been up to 60 deg in the sun (40 in the shade) here in Hurghada over the last week or so, will post photos and video clips as soon as we can.
Saw a glimpse of the site from the main Safaga road on our way back from Sharm el Naga yesterday.

Cant wait for those pictures to be posted! Hope everyone out in Egypt at the moment is having a great time.

I have come across this image which puts things into perspective. The Makadi site is huge! A town in itself. Next to it lying just to the north will be the jungle hotel (to the best of my knowledge). Further development will take place on the site with the whole plot to be developed by 2015.

I think it will end up being a town in its own right.

Been to site today, it is really big. Most of the phase 1 & 2 structures are in place, internal works are getting done at the moment, the plasterers were in our apartment.
No work started yet on phases 3 or 4. They are starting to prepare the ground for the central area (downtown) where all the shops and restaurants etc will be located.
It's a massive site, a water park is also planned for the approach to the site (between the main entrance and the golf course which is already there).
Took lots of photos and videos will get them online when I get home, flying back tomorrow.
Many thanks to Sara from Sun Homes Overseas who took us.
There are only a small number of properites left for sale in phase 3, mainly type 7.

Does anyone know if type2 in quadrant 2 apartments have started to be built??

I hear that q1 and q2 apartments will be complete in April 2011,will be ready for handover. Anyone else heard that?? (info from facebook page)

If you are in strip 6 we may be neighbours as we are type 4 in phase 1. The other type 4's are in strip 1 which we did not see.

I have added some of the photos I took last week on our site visit to our website.
I will add more later when I have figured out which location they are from (quadrant, strip and type).
