Dubai: The elimination of import duties on cement and steel will help Dubai's fast-growing construction sector, if not solve the problem totally, industry officials said, hailing yesterday's decree by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice of President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai in his thought this step will assist in developing of the emirate of Dubai which comes one of tops with construction.

But it isn't working. Concrete supplies have all but dried up in Dubai and many major construction projects are grinding to a halt.
