Like the Spanish real estate market the property market in Portugal has suffered from an overhang of stock which was left with many Portuguese banks after the 2008 economic crisis. It is difficult to see any real positive movement in real estate prices in the short term at least until these unwanted properties have been jettisoned. However, that said, how low can the Portuguese real estate market go in the short term? Is now the time to start picking up selective properties?
