Where to get housing price data

Hi there!

I was wondering where you get your data from regarding housing prices in various regions across the world. Are there any indexes available like the C&S for the US? In particular I'm interested in Emerging Countries like Eastern Europe and Latin America.

Maybe it's better to rephrase my question: How do you make your research concerning international investments and what kind of data and resources do you use? How do you evaluate housing and rental prices?
