What is your property investment strategy for 2017?

As we approach the end of 2016 what are your plans for 2017? Will you be looking for capital growth, rental income or a mixture of the two? Is it time to look at previously depressed property markets with expectations of a recovery or follow those which have already turned the corner?

Or, will you be sitting on the sidelines?

Personally I feel that 2017 will be a year of consolidation for the UK property market with investors placing more focus on rental yield as opposed to pure capital gain. There are many difficult variables to take into consideration one of which is obviously the forthcoming UK exit from the European Union. As a consequence, I would feel happier acquiring assets with a significant rental yield which should offer a degree of support in choppy waters.
