Hi,
I live in Thailand but have a property in the UK that is rented out. The tenants haven't paid for several months and so we're now trying to evict.
My estate agent tells me the court has a problem with the fact that I won't be present at the hearing, even though I've signed a letter giving the estate agent authority to act on my behalf.
Presumably I'm not the only landlord who doesn't attend court hearings? Does anyone know what the issue may be here, or which part of which Act says the landlord can delegate authority to someone else?
Many thanks.
