Also i had a check done on my appartment and property management company found that two taps were leaking and they quoted between 500-900 dirhams, i thought this seemed v expensive......any ideas for saving money with repairs???

It is possible to put the rent up, but the tenant will move next door for less.
Studio in Persia is 26-28k at the moment

I have been quoted 500-900 dirhams for repair of 2 leaking taps??? what is the normal charge with call out??
