If you sat 20 people in a room and asked them for a description of their dream property it is likely you would get 20 different answers. The fact is that we are all very different, we all like different things and we all have very different opinions on a whole range of issues. Getting your initial thoughts about a dream home to the planning stage can seem daunting but if you take your time it should be fairly straightforward.
The trick is to sit down with an architect at a relatively early stage, give them your hopes, your thoughts and your ideas and let them come up with possible designs and drawings. The chances are that it will take some time to arrive at your dream design but the earlier you get your architect involved and official plans are produced the easier in the long run.
