My fianc? is an Ecuadorian from the Guayaquil area. I live in the USA and we will soon marry over there and want to explore making a life there. We don't want to live on the coast where he is from but rather in the Cuenca or Vilcabamba areas. We understand there are lots of Americans living there and so I would welcome any advice you can give. I'm leaving Monday to fly into Quito. Whom should we see to get an idea re property and houses? How far is Cuenca from Quito by bus?
