Planning Permission renewals - help!

I have a small development site near Obidos that was purchased just before the financial crisis. Planning permission was obtained but I haven't developed the site - for obvious reasons. The problem I have is that thelocal camara is pushing me to develop and hinting that it won't renew the permission; its rules are that development should take place within one year of permission being granted. They allowed renewal last year due to the financial situation but I am fearful for my prospects this year.

The whole process of renewal is also unclear, time-consuming and costly. Can anybody advise me please?

No, I'm afraid the whole planning process seems totally unclear. We will have to re-apply for permission from the very beginning. Its difficult enough in the present environment without the camara puuting obstacles in our way.

Do you have any knowledge of how we can deal with this?
