Planning for a flat above a flat

Hi all,

Sometime ago I converted a end of terrace to 2 flats and then sold the ground floor flat whilst retaining the freehold.
How would planning view the application of building a 3rd flat above my 1st floor flat?

Is it likely to be frowned upon?

This is not your everyday property quandary although it is an interesting scenario. Are there other properties in the area which have flats on 3 storeys?
