I finally got word that my deeds for International City ( Persia ) flat are available for pick up. Apparently I just need to bring my passport along to Nakheel office in Ibn Battuta.

As I am based in UK I am writing to ask the following advice :

1. Anyone has done this and is it straightforward ?
2. Is it safe to wait until Jan or do you thnk NAKHEEL may have gone bust by then ?
3. Anyone know of a reliable service in Dubai for picking deeds ?

Any advice appreciated. Many thanks

John

Personally,
I would be on a flight out there tomorrow to get them in my own hands a.s.a.p..

Also, apart from your passport, i would take every bit of coorespondence, deposit receipts, full payment receipts, contracts, every bit of proof you have, and various other types of proof of your own identity.

You are bound to come up against some official who will start requesting this stuff, so i would take everything I could think of.

Thank you

Aziqbal - Thanks for your message - really appreciate it especially the info about the location of the 'office' .... going to fly out this week - hopefully they'll still be there as they're not answering the phone.

Thanks again

John

Hi

A quick question - were you able to pick up deeds by showing your original passport or did you have to get a copy certified by a public notary ??

Thanks
