On Sunday 26th September El Gouna is organising their Green Gouna Day which is held every year for the Project Aware day and everyone gets involved in cleaning the deserted north Mangroovy beach of rubbish washed up from the sea.
This year we are also organising a clean up of North Tawila Island which is a protected area for nesting birds and turtles. This is being organised by HEPCA together with El Gouna hotels, residents and dive centers. I am collecting names for the island clean and allocating spaces on boats. This will be a full day working in the sun without shade to help the environment. If anyone is interested in helping please pm me your email address and I can send you a guideline document and keep you updated with departure points, etc.
