Hi. I have an unusual problem that I can't find help for and was wondering if there's anyone out there that can help me. I'm an Aussie and have plans to live in UK with my new partner. I'm buying out his estranged wife's half of their house and moving to be with him. Me..being the cautious type, wants everything done legally so I don't lose out if anything goes wrong. Can I co-own a house legally with someone in UK if I'm not a resident? I asked him about deeds of title and who's name the house was in. Evidently there are no deeds because it is a park home for over 50's and the land is leased not owned. I've never heard of this before. Can anyone give me advice?? I'm not about to lose out here.
