Hi,
Can anyone offer some much needed advice. My husband passed away last year after a long illness and we discovered rather late that our villa in Dubai did not have mortgage life cover in place. The original mortgage was taken out with Lloyds in 2007 and then migrated to HSBC in 2012. Can i take them to court over it as i understand that it is a legal requirement to have a policy assigned to the Bank before drawdown ? To make matters worse the land is not registered so there is no title deed and i dont think that the mortgage was registered either. All very messy i'm afraid. Any thoughts and comments would be welcome.
