I know some of you may hate me for saying this, but I'll say it anyway! One of my close friends recently visited Morocco and took various trips around the towns of Fez, Meknes, and Casablanca. She came around last night for dinner, and brought the pics and videos of her trip.
On first sight, you can definitely tell the difference between the wealthy casablanca and the really downtrodden Meknes. Although it seemed like Meknes has got some kind of history behind it - that which is apparent in the pics, it's still got a long way to go before any kind of large tourist numbers flock to the town. Ofcourse, areas like Casablanca are no comparison, but its hard to fathom how two cities in the same country are so different. Personally, I didn't find Meknes very attractive, but then again, I've only seen it through a digital camera's viewpoint!
May be if I visit the place, the historic experience might tingle my sense-buds!
Ps. Sorry if the true Mekens lovers have been offended by this post!
