Licensing for letting property

Hi All

I think this is really important for people considering buying a property with a view to letting it out.... Not everyone maybe aware of this license...and how to obtain it.

Has anyone been through the process? How much did it cost? and was it easy to obtain? Is it necessary? IF you don?t have it what are the consequences?

Hi I can't really help but I find it really interesting! My mum is thinking of buying a property out here with the view to renting it our but I heard that this silence is difficult to get hold of and very complicated and it has almost put her off! I will be really interested to hear from someone has done it or is in the process of doing so!
