Is property sharing or part ownership an option?

I am struggling to get on the property ladder and wondered if property sharing or part ownership are options I should consider? Does anybody have any experience in these areas?

There are a number of part ownership schemes out there which allow you to buy an initial stake in a property (together with a third party) and increase your stake going forward. However, bear in mind that when increasing your property stake in the future the price would be based upon the value of the property at the time.
