Buying property and renting it out to students is proving profitable for*landlords in Scotland as demand is high and rents stable, according to*letting agents.
Research from Lettingweb.com shows that demand from students is high and*contrary to popular opinion students generally make excellent tenants.
I have a 5 bed HMO in Edinburgh which I placed with an agent in April to let to students this September. It has not been let and now remains empty. Several agents viewed it and all said it is an excellent property and should rent easily. Two agents have it on their books, I have reduced the price substaintially to £240 per month, still no takers yet. Am I just unlucky?
