Ministry of Justice (the real estate and Documentation) According to the foreign ownership of real estate Arab Republic of Egypt as follows
First:
For real estate and land space has allowed the second article of the law 230 of 1996 non-Egyptians to own as follows:
1 - non-Egyptians can have at most two properties with a view to housing for himself and all his family members, without the evacuation of the right to own real estate necessary for the conduct of activity authorized by the Egyptian authorities concerned, means the family, spouses and children of the palace.
2 - should not exceed an area of each property four thousand square meters.
3 - It should not be regarded as the property of the real estate impact in the application of the provisions of the Antiquities Law.
Second:
For companies, article XII of Part II of the Act 8 of 1997 guarantees and investment incentives, corporations and facilities the right to own land and property necessary to conduct its operations or expansion, whatever the nationality of the partners or shareholders or their place of residence or a high participation rate in the capital and that, other than land and real estate located in areas was refurbished by a decision of the Council of Ministers, has issued a Prime Minister Decree No. 548 of 2005 provided for the treatment of non-Egyptians, after obtaining the approvals on the treatment of Egyptians, ruling over accommodation units in some urban areas In the new tourist areas as follows:
1 - the region of Sidi Abdel Rahman tourism specific decision of the Minister of Tourism No. 112 for the year 1981.
2 - the wise head of tourism specific decision of the Minister of Tourism No. 105 for the year 1981.
Also issued a decision the Prime Minister No. 350 of 2007 and passed to companies and enterprises the right to own property and land required to conduct its operations or expansion, whatever the nationality of the partners or shareholders or their place of residence or the proportions of their participation or contribution to the capital except for land and property provisions of articles II "strategic areas "and the third," which has banned the partners of land and property Sinai Peninsula, "and the terms of article IV of companies and enterprises use real estate and land through the right use of the following conditions:
- Use of a contract for 99 years with the mandate-holder on the ground according to the nature of each activity, and this period may be renewed for similar periods of the agreement.
- Obtaining the necessary approvals from the Ministries of Defense, Interior and National Security Authority and conservation authorities.
- Devolve buildings and structures built on land granted by the right to benefit in the end of the term to the original owner of the land.
Third:
For agricultural land, has warned that Article 1 of Act 15 of 63 with regard to agricultural land ownership by non-Egyptians, whether natural or legal persons from owning agricultural land or the like arable land.
Fourth:
For desert lands have Article 12 of Law 143 of 1941 concerning desert lands amended by Act 55 of 1988 that there was no benefit from the acquisition in accordance with this law except the Egyptians, ..
