The UK government is set to announce an extra £100 million in funding for the UK "Green Deal" which incentivises homeowners offering cashback and other incentives for double glazing, insulation and boilers. It seems strange that more people are not looking down this particular avenue when you bear in mind the help in switching to a modern system and the long-term cost savings which have been in the public domain for some time.
The deal was originally announced in 2013 and while take-up has been fairly slow, it is set to improve in the short to medium term. Do you believe that the Green Deal is worth it? Have you taken advantage of the funding available?
