Got the money back

Dear all / I would like by this post to start a new theme(ididalistic probably) on those lucky one who got thier money back or in the process of doing that!
Please share your experience of the steps you took/
is it court or cancelled project, credit note or anything else that gave you money back or at least a way out with your money - for example - move to another project that almost ready!

With Emaar the best thing I had was the credit transfer (credit note). Lost 40% because Emaar credit notes were selling at 40% discount, but market is down by 40% to 50% so it didn't matter much. In fact, it helped me to re-invest in the place of my choice. When market recovers 40% loss will recover too.
