After years of talking about it (My initial post here was 2009),I've finally started the process of buying a small flat in Oberbayern.
The actual conveyancing is being done by a Notar in Germany and I have no reason to expect that the contract, which was emailed to me a few days ago should contain anything unusual. (My German comprehension is good, but doesn't extend to the niceties of legal speak.) If there's a solicitor in the UK who's had experience of German property sales contracts, I would feel more comfortable if he or she could read it through and confirm that it's standard and contains nothing I should feel concerned about. This could probably be done by email/phone.
Is there anyone here who's been through this and could recommend someone?
