Buying a property in Turkey has never been so easy. With the new foreigner housing law reforms in effect the Turkish government has turned the buying process into a simple and short process.
Before when submitting your paperwork to the Tapu office, they would send out the property kadastro co-ordinates to the Aegean Military for approval, that took several months to come back.
Now the security zone maps have been distributed to the local Tapu offices where, if a foreigner after March 2011 has made a purchase on the same island/plot number, the next foreigner buyer does not need to do the military paperwork, where the previously issued approval would set example.
With this law in effect, a foreigner buyer and seller who submit their documents in the morning would get an appointment in the afternoon to exchange the name title transfer and signatures.
There have been examples where this whole process amazingly can complete as low as 5-6 hours.
