We are currently selling our property and the enquires from the purchaser s solicitors came back today.
We were informed within the enquires that the extension has not had planning permission.
Now foolishly I contacted the council and they do not have any knowledge of a extension on our property, but said if the property was 10 years old then they do not have any powers.( I can't remember exactly what he called it) But how could we prove the age of the extension?????????????????
We could of put a indemnity insurance in place, but because I stupidly contacted the council, that is not a route we can take. Please can anyone assist before I go completely mad with this..
