Thanks for the, Georgina.

We went to see The Happening (or rather 'The Not Very Much Happening') yesterday.

They have sorted out the sound now, but they still haven't quite sorted out that fact that films come in different aspect rations. It does add an extra dimension to some films that you can see the boom mikes above everyone's heads and that all of the cast are turned into stumpy dwarves because they are squashed up so much.

Mind you, considering it's free and it's the only way to watch modern movies (well, legally anyway) it's still one of the highlights of our week to go there.

I hope the link works. If it doesn't then search the 'El Gouna, Red Sea' page. It will publish the monthly what's on guide and keep you up to date with everything else that is going on in El Gouna. I was working in the Smugglers Pub the other night and met two couples from Oasis Resort seeking more information. I directed them to our information center in Downtown but I hope this page will help so you can plan in advance if you are visiting El Gouna.

I've looked everywhere on that Facebook page, but I still can't figure out what's on this month at the cinema.

It would make life a lot easier if they just had one webpage where you can check whenever you like as to what's on when.

I can't find the flyer either for May. It was there! Usually we receive the flyer by email but the head of customer services was getting married so we are still waiting!

The open air cinema is free. You just pay for drinks and popcorn if you would like them.

There are websites for activities like diving, kite surfing, etc. You can find lots more information on the general El Gouna Red Sea Egypt's Best Holiday Destination and Beach Resort Town site.

Bar Prices

Arena Inn are now charging hotel prices for the drinks in the cinema. My two glasses of red Egyptian wine used to cost LE42. They are now LE90!!! :madhot:
