Hi Folks, I am also a dissolusioned invester in Dubai, I have paid deposits on two apartments one, a 2 bed unit at 'Burmuda Views' paid over £ 100,000 into escrow account and a one bed unit at 'Park Lane' International City, paid over £ 18,000 into escrow account.
The 'Park Lane' unit seems to be ok, building work is progressing although well behind schedule.
'Burmuda Views' is the real worry, as I'm sure hundreds of other UK investers in Dubai are also concerned about thier own particular supposed investment.
I feel that the Uk investers should all start to take action, and try to embarrass Macktoum and his entourage into some honest answers, I don't mean put money into a fund to be overcharged by international lawyers, I think we should start by making a concerted effort at forcing our MPs to ask questions on our behave, we should also start to hit back at Dubai by peacefull protest, this could be done by protests at race meetings in the UK sponcered by Dubai, Maktoum, Emerates Airlines etc.
In a year when Maktoum is trying to drum up more investment from the Uk (and the rest of the World) it should be demonstrated what the existing investers think about being conned, cheated and lied to by Dubai companies and the Maktoum administration.
What are your views.
