On June 25th 07, Mr Driss JETTOU, the Prime Minister, undertook to launch the construction work of "Mazagan" tourist station in Al Haouzia (El Jadida Province).The hotel capacity of this station, which is part of the Azur Plan, comes to about 8,000 beds. It comprises some classified tourist units, leisure and entertainment centers, spaces of nautical sports, a conference center ( 1200 persons) as well as a golf course and luxury tourist residences.
This substantial project will permit the creation of more than 2,000 direct jobs and more than 8000 other indirect ones. The cost of the first phase of the project comes to 3 billion DH, for an overall cost of 20 billion DH.
Mazagan station is 80 km away from the economic capital of Morocco , Casablanca , and it is near the first international airport of the Kingdom. It is bordered in the north by the Oum -Er- Rabie river and ancient Azama,the town of Azzemmour , and in the south by white Mazagan, the town of El Jadida .
