Comparison of property developments

Hi, we are about to move to Dubai and are trying to get our head around the pro's and con's of each of the property developments/communities, as to atmosphere, quality of schools, quality of villas, maintenance of shared facilities, etc. Can anyone point me to a site or blog that gives a truthful overview?
