Cancelling a contract

Hi all,

I want to know what happens if someone cancels his contract. Having paid 50% of the total amount, when someone decides to cancel his contract, will he be eligible for a refund? If yes, how much? Which law applies in this case? Is there a specific procedure in doing this?
