Can someone explain service charges please?

Hi I am unsure exactly what sercice charges I am to pay?

Is cooling a seperate service charge to the community service charge?

My understanding is this for 2010 - 2011.

(My apartment is 528 sq fee).

22 AED Service Charge x 528 sq feet = AED 11616

11 AED Cooling Charge x 528 sq feet = AED 5808

So, AED 17,424 in total?

Factoring in how much rent these apartments bring in, the rental value is very low but, like everything else in 2010, things can only get better!!

Where did you get the numbers from?

For 2009-2010, it was 9Dhs/sq ft.

Maybe your numbers are in sq meters?

For 2009-2010, it was 9Dhs/sq ft.

Maybe your numbers are in sq meters?

I think this is too much. All together should be around 10000 per year.
If it is more than that, don’t pay simple as that.
On top of that the charges make the flat almost unsellable

I ve read alot about high charges at DG so can believe your price.In fact I read recently the average of a 1 bed at DG is 24.000dhs which would make them unsellable like someone said.

these service charges are ridiculously high, not only people have been amputated an arm and a leg but now they may end up bleeding to death.

I know - I am very confused about what the fee is per sq foot at Disco Gardens so if anyone knows and is reading this please let us all know! I have been in contact with Nakheel, who I have to say, have been very good when I have contacted them. A lot of people complain but I received my title deed in a relatively timely fashion and all replies get answered. They sent me the invoice for 2009 which was paid for the srvice charges and have asked for the new charges just yesterday so I guess I am being impatient.

Once I get it I will post here!

If anyone know in meantime pls post!!!!!!!!!!!
