Hi All
I have had some advice that I should not use the local pine for building as it will rot, if left untreated.
I plan on building a cordwood house, this means that looking at the biulding you would see the end of the logs.
What I plan to do is plaster them in using a lime sawdust and cement mix, I am hoping this will protect the wood from rotting and keep pests away.
Anybody got any local specific knowledge I could tap into, maybe meet up at the kapingi pub, near Tabua.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Cheers
