Does anyone know about the areas of Marrakesh - 10-15 mins outside the Medina.

Is it possible to say which is a good area now, bearing in mind development is rapid and areas that are deserted now in 2 years time will be new and developed ?

I'm particularly interested in the SW near Samanah Country. Perhaps we could get a list going of developements in the various areas ?

The area of Marrakech you are referring to is the 'Route to the Barrage' 'Route to Amizmiz' Tamesloht area, etc. There is major development on this route as land prices are currently relatively less than on they are on other routes. It is also easy access to the Marrakech. There are small developments with only villas, and some not only have villas, but also 5* hotels and golf courses. Also this area is abundant with great views of the Atlas Mountains. I would imagine that if land is relatively inexpensive and there is signs of development, then, all things being equal, the area should benefit from upward economic growth.

Morocco bound, Thanks, certainly sounds an interesting area and I like good views!

I am also interested in a development in the NE that says it is "a few minutes wak from the famous spectacle centre offering the Thousand and and One Nights experience". I cant find anything on google about this or the area.

Grateful for any help.

If you are talking about Chez Ali, try on the Route to Casablanca or Route to Safi, such as River Palm which is now in it's second phase; the new football stadium is being built in this area, or any of the developments in the Palmeraie, although value for money, you would be better off in your original choice of location.

"a few minutes walk from the famous spectacle centre offering the Thousand and and One Nights experience". It is a restaurant owhich is a fantasia spectacle with horses etc. A real experience. It is not a new development, I am afraid.
