In the towns along the coast on Cote d'Azur and a few miles inland - prices for anything around 500,000 Euro or less seem to be selling quickly. However, there are still a few old wrecks that need a lot of refurbishing and do not sell well. Unlike in the UK this does not mean much value can be added to the property and work can be very expensive. The French will often sit on the property for years holding out for their price. But I know someone who bought a one bed in Antibes in 2003 and sold for double in 2 weeks. They now think it was undervalued.

If the UK was to leave the European Union would this have any impact upon UK investor appetite for French property?
