Greetings,
My idea, plan : I'd like to buy a house or an appartment of max 20.000 euro. I want to renovate it myself, perhaps live in it while renovating it. When it's finished, I'd sell or rent it. Could someone please give me some usefull hints? My main worry is where to find an opportunity for this low budget ... And I'm not planning to go to the other side of the planet ... Any help, idea, advice, ... welcome! Thanks a lot! (no PM please, new user...)

As we don't know what side of the planet you are on at the moment, it's rather difficult to give you any info....

I know it is working out for a lot of investors in Egypt to do so that is why the market for unfinished properties is that big, especially in Hurghada.

However, if you are considering a foreign country, would you know where to turn to for cost effective solution? Perhaps in the end you will end up with paying more for this than buying something key ready?

Also mind the tax situation which will put up on the cost framework.
