Savannah Guthrie lists Tribeca apartment for $6 million

Anchor of the “Today” show Savannah Guthrie and her husband Michael Feldman have placed their Tribeca apartment on the market for $6 million (well $5.995 million). Records show that the property is currently held in the name of Michael Feldman and was acquired for just $3.8 million in 2012. This would equate to a near $2.2 million profit over a five-year period which is not a bad return by any measure. What should you expect from this large combination apartment?

The basics

Before we look at individual rooms it is worth noting that while this is officially a three-bedroom property it can quite easily be converted into a four-bedroom abode. There are four full bathrooms, a soaking tub, rainfall shower and five floor-to-ceiling windows in the main room which give an exquisite look over Reade Street. In total the property covers 2691 ft.² offering some beautiful interior design within an open plan structure.

Main living area

The main living area is a very stylish open plan design which is a staggering 31 feet in length and boasts the five floor-to-ceiling windows we mentioned above. There is the main seating area and enormous corner sofa, drinks cabinet for entertaining, formal dining table with access to the open plan kitchen. The design is stylish yet spacious, traditional with snippets of contemporary. In effect this is the hub of the property with access to all areas in this beautifully designed open plan property.

Kitchen

There is a wooden floor theme right through the apartment which contrasts perfectly with the white marble designed kitchen. Quite how they have managed to introduce an array of storage space, all mod cons with more than enough space to move around freely is a mystery. Each time you look at the kitchen you can see a different piece of equipment!

Office space

When you bear in mind that Savannah Guthrie and her husband are both extremely busy there is obviously a need for the mandatory business office. Again, the designers have managed to introduce an array of storage facilities, office desk, relaxation area and bookshelves galore in a relatively small area. We can imagine this area is in constant use offering a relaxed yet businesslike feel.

Master bedroom

As seems to be the trend among celebrities these days the master bedroom is minimalistic with regards to furniture offering a white and grey colour combination. While these colours don’t always go together they do seem to mix-and-match well within this bedroom. There is an abundance of natural light from the three large windows which must be a sight to behold first thing in the morning.

Bathroom

The dark tiled bathroom floor contrasts perfectly with the white sinks and other facilities. There is a large bath/shower combo which makes great use of the limited space leaving more than enough space to walk around. There is an extremely large mirror for those looking to pamper themselves before going to work!

Beautiful property

What strikes you about the design of this particular property is the ability to squeeze as many facilities and storage areas as possible into a relatively small space yet leave the impression of an open plan property. The enormous windows allow for an abundance of natural light and it cannot be too difficult to relax in the main living room. It is not difficult to see why this particular property has a near $6 million asking price and it will be interesting to see whether the full asking price is obtained. Why would Savannah Guthrie want to sell such a stylish property?
